Should hair-braiding require a license? The state of Utah thinks so. In a recent edition of Planet Money, NPR correspondent Jacob Goldstein interviews Jestina from Utah who was banned from hair-braiding because she lacked the necessary licensing.
To get a license, Jestina would have to spend more than a year in cosmetology school. Tuition would cost $16,000 dollars or more.
