In the News: For Economic Freedom, It’s Still “Go (North)West, Young Man”
Economic freedom in North America has migrated north to Canada, according to the Fraser Institute’s new report “Economic Freedom of North America 2012”. As Nirmala Menon writes on the Wall Street Journal’s “Canada Real Time” blog:
“Overall, Canadian provinces ranked slightly higher than U.S. states, on average. Canadian provinces (there are 10 of them) scored an average 6.8 out of 10. The 50 U.S. states came in at 6.7.”
